Iran, Indonesia Condemn Terrorism: Khatami

TEHRAN, Sept 21 (Mehr News Agency) — President Mohammad Khatami said Iran and Indonesia condemn all forms of terrorism.

Khatami said Indonesia enjoys a high status in Iranian foreign policy, and stressed the expansion of mutual ties particularly in economic fields.

 

Khatami described the high capacity of cooperation and the prominent geographical position of both countries as commendable in trade and economic enhancement and said, “With our cooperation, we can take steps towards boosting mutual ties and happiness for both nations without being in need of others. 

 

The official emphasized that both Iran and Indonesia should call for security and freedom and that they condemn all forms of terrorism.

 

Basra Hassaneldeen, the new Indonesian ambassador to Iran, presented his credentials to the President in this visit and, for his part, asserted that his high-ranking officials are interested in the expansion of all-out relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
